Michael D. Cohen

Michael D. Cohen is president of Vertical Capital Income Fund. Mr. Cohen is also chief executive officer and president of VCIF’s adviser parent company Behringer, bringing more than 20 years of entrepreneurial leadership and commercial real estate experience to the company. Additionally, he is the executive vice president of the advisor of Behringer’s co-sponsored public funds with Prospect Capital Management LLC.

Prior to joining Behringer, Mr. Cohen was a vice president at Crow Holdings—the investment office of the Trammell Crow family. In this capacity, he was responsible for the acquisition and management of retail, office and hospitality assets. Mr. Cohen began his career in 1997 at Harvard Property Trust, Inc. and Behringer Partners—two predecessor companies of Behringer.

Mr. Cohen received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Texas Christian University.
